Endodontic - Root Canals


Pulp Capping (Direct
) - Exposed pulp is covered with a dressing or cement that protects the pulp and promotes healing and repair.

Pulp Capping (Indirect) - Nearly exposed pulp is covered with a protective dressing or cement that protects the pulp and promotes healing and repair.

Pulpotomy (Therapeutic) - Removal of the pulp and the application of a medicament. Performed on adult and baby teeth. Not the first stage of a root canal therapy.

Pulpotomy (Debridement) - Permanent and primary teeth, for relief of acute pain or prior to conventional root canal therapy.

Endodontic Therapy (Root Canal(s) - Cleaning out the canals and filling with a restorable material Very important that the tooth be protected immediately with a core build up and crown (unless otherwise directed).
